Developed in collaboration with Samaya athletes like Colin Haley, the Alpinist 2 Ultra is designed to meet the demands of mountaineering. Its Dyneema_X™ single-wall design offers weatherproofing (20,000mm) and ventilation (40,000 g/m²/24h) that far exceeds market standards. In addition, the new Carbon_X™ carbon fiber tent poles have a coating on the outer layer to more effectively reduce damage. Internal tent pole construction reduces weight while allowing for easy assembly and disassembly.

The Dyneema fabric near the door of the Alpinist 2 Ultra is thicker than before, making it more difficult for rain to penetrate through the zipper. In addition, a canopy design is added to effectively prevent water from dripping in rainy weather or morning fog.

TENT WALLS — Dyneema_X™

Samaya tailors its composite material to the application, Dyneema_X™ combines Dyneema® fabric with an ePTFE membrane, offering waterproofness (20,000mm), breathability (40,000 g/m²/24h ) and lightness. The ePTFE microporous structure allows vapor to escape while blocking water, while Dyneema® ensures high strength and durability with low water absorption.

ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) certified, Dyneema® is part of a circular economy approach that reduces CO2 emissions, offering a more responsible alternative without compromising performance.

TENT WALLS — TENT FLOOR

Dyneema® composite fabric is used as the base fabric of its tent due to its excellent performance. This laminated textile, consisting of UHMWPE filaments crossed at 90° and two layers of Mylar®, has very high abrasion resistance and limits tearing if the base fabric is perforated. In addition to its performance, the material is easily repairable, extending the life of Samaya products.
